Your next step starts here

Don’t let an unfamiliar test get between you and your next role.

“The practice tests looked exactly like the real SHL assessment. On the day there were no surprises — I just worked through the questions.”

Know the format before the clock starts

Reading a chart is different from adjusting one. Get familiar with the tables, chart controls and question layouts you’ll be working with, so the interface isn’t another problem to solve on test day.

Find the mistakes that cost you marks

A percentage calculated from the wrong base. A “fewer than” read as “more than”. A change that only applies from a particular year. Reviewing your answers helps you spot the details you missed, not just the final number.

Build a pace you can sustain

Repeated practice gives you a chance to work on accuracy and speed together. The aim isn’t to memorise answers — it’s to recognise what a question needs and work through it without second-guessing every step.

Is this a subscription?

No. You pay once and keep access for life.

Which tests are included?

Interactive Numerical Reasoning, Numerical Ability and Numerical Calculation, plus every new SHL test we add.

How do I know which SHL test I need?

Check the name in your assessment invitation first. SHL Verify Interactive Numerical Reasoning, Numerical Ability and Numerical Calculation are different tests. Match that name to the practice test rather than choosing a generic numerical test.

What makes interactive numerical reasoning different?

Instead of only selecting a multiple-choice answer, you may need to adjust a chart or work with information in an interactive task. Preparation should cover both the numerical reasoning and the way you enter your answer.

Will I see the exact same questions in my assessment?

No one can guarantee which questions an employer will use. Our practice is designed around the question types and interactions, not access to your employer's confidential question bank.

How much time should I set aside to prepare?

Start with a practice attempt to identify what slows you down. Then work on weaker topics and review your mistakes before trying a timed attempt. The time you need depends on your starting point and assessment date.

Should I practise with a calculator?

Follow the instructions in your assessment invitation. Calculator rules can vary by test, so practise under the same conditions you will have on the day.

Does passing the assessment guarantee a job?

No. An assessment is one part of the recruitment process. Employers may also consider your application, interviews and other selection stages.

Is SHLassessment.com affiliated with SHL?

No. SHLassessment.com is an independent preparation platform, not an official SHL product or an employer's assessment provider.
